The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has
today issued to local authorities good practice guidance on the
drafting of planning agreements to complement the revised circular
on planning obligations issued in 2005. The Law Society has been
working with the DCLG (formerly the ODPM) in the production of the
model provisions and guidance notes. These models can be used or
adapted to local circumstances, and avoid the need to embark on
drafting from scratch.
