Bar Council Chairman sets out a blueprint for the future of the Criminal Bar

In an address to the Criminal Bar Association at its annual conference, Geoffrey Vos QC, Chairman of the Bar, had a message of hope at a time when the Criminal Bar is increasingly under pressure.

He stressed that the Bar should have confidence in its ability to deliver high-quality services which contribute to a strong and efficient criminal justice system. These comments were made in the context of the recent Carter Review of Legal Aid and the Legal Services Bill
