Law Society HR Work Review

Human Rights: Online Survey
Law Society Survey
29 August 2006
Closes 2 October 2006
The Law Society is reviewing its domestic, European and
international human rights work to determine its future activities
in these areas. This follows an extensive consultation with
solicitors in which over 19,000 solicitors identified the kind of
representational body they would like. It also follows the
publication of the Draft Legal Services Bill, which includes a
reference to human rights under clause 43, covering permitted uses
for the practising certificate fee in future
This is a chance for solicitors to participate in our ongoing
human rights review.
