Bar Complaints Review

Independent Review of Bar Complaints Launched
Bar Council Press Release
18 September 2006
A root and branch review of the Bar's complaints and disciplinary
system has been launched today by the Bar Standard's Board's
independent Complaints Commissioner, Robert Behrens.  The review
anticipates the publication of the Legal Services Bill later this
year, reforming regulation of lawyers, and comes after the
setting up of the BSB to provide separate oversight of regulation
under the leadership of its Chair, Ruth Evans.
